I'm Laura Resau (rhymes with see-saw). I write novels set in places where I've lived or traveled around the world.

Magic, love, and adventure tend to find their way into my stories. So do brave characters who take journeys of all kinds, inside and outside themselves. I feel passionate about weaving environmental and human rights issues into my books and helping new, global voices be heard. My books are shelved in the kids' and teens' sections, but are read by many not-so-young adults, too.

I love exploring the world, wandering by streams, sitting with old trees, being cozy in vintage trailers, star-gazing in the mountains, and hanging out with my husband, son, and husky in Fort Collins, Colorado.
